    Antigen presenting cells

Antigen presenting cells (APC) are a class of immune cells that mediate the immune response. APCs process foreign antigen and present the antigen to T cells, the immune cells with kill foreign cells. Several subsets of immune cells, including dendritic cells (DC) and macrophages are capable of serving as APCs.
