mRNA stands for messenger ribonucleic acids, is a type of RNA found in the cell. It transfers the information from DNA to the cell machinery that makes proteins. The mRNA is an RNA version of the gene that leaves the cell nucleus and moves to the cytoplasm where proteins are made.
