    Virology coronavirus

Virology is a science focused on studying the biology of viruses and the diseases they generate. SARS-CoV2 is a coronavirus containing a viral envelope lined with spike proteins. The spike protein attaches to cells within an infected host, facilitating entry of the virus into a previously healthy cell. Once inside a host cell, the virus's RNA machinery begins replicating with the assistance of the host cells reproductive mechanisms. This leads to the generation of more viral cells which can circulate and infect more cells within the host.
