    Antigen-specific T cells

    T cells, a type of CD8 T cells (also called cytotoxic T lymphocyte) that are activated against a specific antigen. CD8 T cells identify and eliminate foreign cells, such as cancer cells or virus-infected cells. Antigen specific T cells are capable of identifying a specific antigen that is specific to the invading cells.
