A bioreactor could be any device or system that sustains a biologically active environment. We can divide bioreactors into two groups. The first one includes bioreactors that are mainly made of stainless steel and their purpose is carrying out chemical processes. The second group of bioreactors are manufactured with the aim of growing cells or tissues under controlled conditions.
