    Lab animal medicine

Lab animal medicine in a branch of veterinary science involving the animals used for laboratory research. Lab animal medicine can encompass general veterinary care, medical treatment, surgical procedures, to care for the well-being of laboratory animals and also advance research. Mice, rats, guinea pigs, monkeys, rabbits, cats, dogs, and pigs are some examples of animals that can be used for laboratory research models.
