    Metabolic syndrome: is when increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol levels occur together. When this cluster of biochemical and physiological abnormalities happen together there can be an increase of risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
