Regeneration: is the process by which lost or damaged tissues, organs or limbs are re-formed from the remaining tissue. During regeneration, adult stem cells and/or progenitor cells differentiate to replace the missing tissue, although in some instances differentiated cells can also participate in the regeneration by proliferation or transdifferentiation.

The adult mammalian heart bears limited regenerative capacity, resulting in the irreversible loss of cardiomyocytes post-cardiac injury, and often culminating in end-stage heart failure. Car...
The purification of proteins and antibodies is a critical process in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Traditional methods often involve single-use materials, leading to high cost...
We are developing the three-banded panther worm Hofstenia miamia as a new model system for neuroscience. Hofstenia is a rare, lab-tractable member of a lineage of early-branching marine inve...
Embryonic epicardium is crucial for normal heart morphogenesis. The tissue originates from the proepicardial organ, with cells migrating to form the outer mesothelial layer, giving rise to n...
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are lipid-bilayer enclosed nano-sized vesicles that are released by all cell types and found in all bodily fluids. EVs are emerging as important regulators of bo...
